We Need A Few Good Friends!

Do you have 2, 4, or even more hours a week or every other week to spare?  Do you enjoy being around people?  Have you had retail experience and miss it? Are you just plain “handy”?  The Thrift Store can put your talents and hobbies to use.   

Opportunities for volunteer service:

• Cashier:  Working in the store greeting customers, operating cash register, handling money, making change, and bagging purchased items.

• Sorting & Pricing:  Working in the backroom of The Thrift Store sorting and cleaning donations, pricing items, some lifting required.

• Clothing Hanger:  Hanging, tagging, and pricing clothing and then getting it to the sales floor in the proper departments.

• Display Person:  Responsible for making attractive displays throughout the store with donated merchandise, dressing mannequins.

• Electronics:  Responsible for testing donated electronics, cleaning and repairing them as needed to prepare for sale.

• Floor Assistant:  Responsible for keeping all departments clean and organized, checking dressing rooms periodically, and putting away processed merchandise.

• Baling:  Responsible for baling clothing and shoes.  Requires heavy lifting and must be 18 years or older.
